is a visualization of the worldwide airtraffic. The global flightschedules are parsed. The found flights are matched onto a virtual globe dependent on their time. This way it is possible to see relations between different areas of the world. By showing the amount of airtraffic in different areas of the world, Flightplans also shows distinctions in their development. Countries with lower economical evolvement do not equally participate in this global transportation network.

The data used for the visualization contains more than 90.000 flights per month. To enable realtime movement through time the data is transfered into a database for fast access and search. Using optimized graphic rendering methods the program is able to display more than 20000 flights and airports.
